Practical information > Getting to Lyon

By plane

Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport is located 30 km from downtown.

It is an international airport, with destinations from all over the world.

When arriving at the airport there are three possibilities. Either take an express tram or take a taxi.

> The Rhônexpress Express Tram is the fastest, most reliable and a seamless link between the center of Lyon and the Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport, with a journey time of less than 30 minutes. More information here.

> Please note that the taxi to the city center is around 50 euros (depending on the time and the number of luggage you have).

By train

To book your train ticket you can use the Voyages SNCF website.

Three SNCF train stations (Part-Dieu, Jean-Macé and Perrache) are located in the town center, with several high speed trains (TGV) to and from Paris every day. The trip to Paris takes around 2h. Part-Dieu station is the closest station from the conference place.

The Tram T1 ensures a direct connection between the Perrache station and the conference place. Both the tram T1 and the tram T4 ensure a direct connection between the Part-Dieu station and the conference place.
